Sun Gear 1 hr
Went to Harry’s and picked up a used sun gear. We looked at a couple of gears and I picked the best. It looks really good. I installed the gear and the assembly moves more freely but it still binds through about 30º of the rotation, but I can turn it by hand and there is no cogging.
I recommend we finish the assembly and run it like it is. This means using my used P93 internal ring gear ($100 CAD) and returning the new gear ($185 USD). We should also purchase a P144 Sun gear ($75 UDS) to replace Harry’s. His gear is in excellent shape.
