Attempted Assembly - 4 hrs

We added .020” of ring gear shims between the bronze thrust plate and the internal ring gear. The ruckstell assembly binds on rotation. The sun gear teeth are bent. We use my internal ring gear and that loosened things up a bit, but when the case bolts are torqued the triple gears cog against the sun gear and internal ring gear and the assembly binds. I don’t think it is the bent teeth that is causing the binding. The gear could be a bit egg shaped.
