Best tour by a Damsite! (August 5-9, 2026)

Wednesday, Aug 5 (~30 km) — Arrival

Prince’s Lodge is located in Glenwood, Alberta. Take Highway 2 south to Highway 3 and exit west on Highway 3 toward Pincher Creek. Move immediately into the left lane and be prepared to turn left, south onto Highway 810. Follow Highway 810 to Glenwood and turn right onto Center Street, left onto Main Avenue and left again on to 1 Street SE.

The closest gas station is 40 km away. Make sure your T has a full tank of gas when you arrive, and that your tow vehicle has enough fuel left to get you to the nearest gas station on the way home.

Bring your own queen size bedding: sheets and pillowcases. Blankets and quilts are provided. There's no air conditioning in the lodge, so if it's hot, you may wish to bring a small electric fan for your room. Bring your own toiletries, bath towels, and don't forget your medications! Oh, and bring folding chairs for our stops on the tour.

  • The lodge will be open for check-in and room selection at noon on Wednesday, August 5th

  • At 4 p.m., we will leave for a short familiarisation tour to the Meadows where we all enjoy a pulled pork supper.

Thursday, Aug 6 (160 km) — Waterton

  • Drive to Red Rock Canyon then to the Waterton Townsite for lunch on your own

  • Explore Waterton

  • Supper on the way back at Twin Butte General Store around 4 pm.

Friday, Aug 7 (151 km) — Chief Mountain Hideaway/ Cardston
