Rear End Disassembly - 3 Hrs
Cosmetics are Great
The housings, spool, brake rods, and radius rods are correct for a 1913 Ford.
The housings are straight, which is a bonus.
I was impressed that the rear end was not leaking until I realised it had no oil.
The Innards are Unusable
The universal lock pin was missing and one of the babbitt thrust washers was worn thin. The would have caused the ring and pinion to grind. The pinion was loose on the drive shaft.
Recommendation
I have a good selection of original rear end parts that are not being reproduced. I will make a list of parts that are available at the vendors.
